VICTIM IMPACT PANELS

To replace a lost Victim Impact Panel Certificate, click here “How to Request a Duplicate Certificate”.

The dates and times for the panel are:

Classes that state “English/Spanish” will be available in both languages; otherwise, the class will be presented in English.

Additional Information:  Arrive early. PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED. Please wear face mask. Please check out website at www.madd.org/tn on the day of the class for info regarding weather or COVID-19 related cancellations.

6 foot physical distancing procedures will be observed. This may cause the check in and check out time of the panel to experience a higher wait time. MADD staff and volunteers have put processes in place to expedite this procedure as best as possible while ensuring the observation of appropriate and necessary safety procedures.

Panel attendees will be required to wear a facial covering that covers the mouth and nose at all times. MADD is operating the Victim Impact Panels to meet the needs of the community and we are requiring the use of facial coverings out of an abundance of caution to protect the attendees, as well as MADD staff and volunteers. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control recommends the use of facial coverings in public settings where social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. In addition, the CDC advises that facial coverings can help slow the spread of the virus, including among those who are not exhibiting symptoms. However, the use of a face covering should not be seen as a substitute for social distancing. Please continue to observe rules regarding appropriate distancing while at our Panels.

Panel attendees will be required to participate in a Health Screening process that includes having their body temperature checked prior to entering the VIP Event.  MADD is operating the Victim Impact Panels to meet the needs of the community. We are instituting a health screening process including body temperature screenings out of an abundance of caution to protect all attendees, as well as MADD staff and volunteers. The CDC has recommended the use of body temperature screenings as it relates to procedures to help limit potential exposure to the virus. We ask for your cooperation as we administer these preventive measures, to help ensure the process goes as quickly as possible. Attendees will be refused entry into the MADD Victim Impact Panel event if they do not participate in the health screening process including body temperature screenings.

Do not attend the Victim Impact Panel if you have exhibited any of the following symptoms within the last 48 hours:

  • Cough, shortness of breath and/or difficulty breathing
  • Fever and/or Chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste and/or smell

Do not attend the Victim Impact Panel if you have:

  • Had close contact with anyone who is either confirmed or suspected of having COVID-19, in the last 15 days, including anyone who is experiencing or displaying any of the known symptoms of COVID-19 (which are listed above).
  • Tested positive or have been tested and are awaiting the results for COVID-19 in the last 15 days.

If you are unable to comply with any of these requirements, a MADD Online Victim Impact Panel class is available and can be taken at your convenience, in English or in Spanish for a fee of $50.  If you have already pre-paid $43 ($40 registration fee plus a $3 credit card payment fee) for the in-person VIP class, you can request to apply your $40 registration fee to the ONLINE VIP class.

You must notify us in writing at tn.state@madd.org BEFORE your scheduled class, if you cannot attend the in-person class for which you have registered, due to Covid-19 symptoms, illness, or exposure.  You may request that we reschedule your registration to another in-person class at no additional charge or apply your pre-paid fees to the Online VIP class instead. If you do NOT notify us in writing PRIOR to your class, you will be considered a no-show, your registration will be cancelled, and any pre-paid fees will be forfeited.
